What is the difference between incorporating a company and filing company tax?
Incorporation creates the limited company as a separate legal entity. Once the company is active, it can also need annual accounts, Corporation Tax payments and a Company Tax Return. These are separate responsibilities, even though Taxd can support the wider company setup and filing journey.
When are company accounts due?
For an established private company, annual accounts are normally due to Companies House 9 months after the financial year ends. First accounts usually follow a different timetable and are normally due 21 months after the company was incorporated.
When is Corporation Tax due?
For many companies, Corporation Tax is normally payable 9 months and 1 day after the end of the Corporation Tax accounting period. Different payment rules can apply in some cases, including larger companies and unusual accounting periods.
When is the CT600 due?
The Company Tax Return, which includes the CT600, is normally due 12 months after the end of the Corporation Tax accounting period. This is later than the standard Corporation Tax payment deadline, so the two dates should be tracked separately.
Can Taxd file company accounts and the CT600?
Taxd’s current company tax offering includes company accounts filed with Companies House and a CT600 filed with HMRC, with a Chartered Accountant review call included in the current package.
